  • Use a good variety of pectoral exercises. Don't do the same one or two, workout after workout, for months on end

  • Keep your abdominal region tight when lifting

  • Keep your lower back pressed tight against the bench.

  • When doing any chest muscle exercise breath out as you push upwards away from your body.

  • Use a spotter whenever possible.
